The story of Prophet Musa (Moses) is one of the most powerful and inspirational narratives in the Quran. It’s a story filled with divine miracles, unwavering faith, and the ultimate triumph of truth over tyranny. His journey—marked by trials, courage, and guidance from Allah—continues to resonate with believers around the world.

The Early Life of Prophet Musa Saved by Allah’s Plan

Prophet Musa was born in ancient Egypt during a time of severe oppression under the rule of Pharaoh. Fearing the growing strength of the Children of Israel (Bani Isra’il), Pharaoh ordered that all newborn Israelite boys be killed.

But by divine inspiration, Musa’s mother placed him in a basket and set it afloat on the Nile River, entrusting her son to Allah’s protection.

SubhanAllah, the basket reached Pharaoh’s palace, where the baby was found by Asiya, Pharaoh’s wife. She convinced Pharaoh to raise Musa as their own, unknowingly nurturing the very child who would later challenge his oppression.

🔥 The Divine Call – Musa’s Journey to Prophethood

As Musa grew up in the palace, he remained connected to his people. One day, he intervened in a conflict and accidentally killed an Egyptian man. Fearing for his life, Musa fled to Madyan, where he lived humbly and worked as a shepherd.

It was in the wilderness that Musa encountered a miracle: a burning bush that was not consumed by the fire. From this sacred flame, Allah spoke directly to him:

“Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.”
(Quran 20:14)

Here, Musa received his prophethood and was commanded to return to Egypt to free the Children of Israel from Pharaoh’s tyranny.

🗣️ Musa and Pharaoh – A Clash of Faith and Arrogance

Musa, joined by his brother Harun (Aaron), bravely confronted the mighty Pharaoh and delivered Allah’s message:

“Let the Children of Israel go!”

To prove the truth of his message, Allah gave Musa miraculous signs:

  • His staff turned into a serpent,
  • His hand shone with radiant light,
  • And Egypt was plagued with divine signs.

Despite all this, Pharaoh remained arrogant, his heart hardened by disbelief and pride.

🌊 The Red Sea Miracle – Freedom by Allah’s Will

With Allah’s command, Musa led the Israelites out of Egypt. As they approached the Red Sea, they were trapped—Pharaoh’s army behind them and the sea ahead.

The Israelites panicked, but Musa stood firm in his trust in Allah:

“Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me.”
(Quran 26:62)

Musa struck the sea with his staff, and Allah parted the waters, allowing his people to cross safely. When Pharaoh and his army pursued them, the sea closed in and drowned the tyrant and his forces.
