Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, a month when Muslims around the world fast from dawn to sunset, refraining from food, drink, and sinful behavior. But more than just abstaining from food, Ramadan is about:
- Purifying our souls through worship
- Strengthening our relationship with Allah (SWT)
- Increasing our good deeds and seeking forgiveness
As Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an:
“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183)
💫 The Special Night: Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Decree)
Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever stands (in prayer) during Laylatul Qadr with faith and hoping for its reward will have all of their previous sins forgiven.” (Sahih Bukhari)
This night is better than a thousand months (Surah Al-Qadr 97:3) – a night where sincere prayers are accepted, and destinies are written. It falls in the last ten nights of Ramadan, especially the odd-numbered nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th).
🧎♂️ How to Prepare for Ramadan:
✅ Start fasting on Mondays and Thursdays (Sunnah)
✅ Increase your Qur’an recitation and daily Duas
✅ Make sincere Tawbah (repentance) and seek forgiveness
✅ Plan your charity and help those in need
✅ Strengthen your prayers (especially Tahajjud and Taraweeh)
✨ Don’t let this Ramadan pass without making a change. The doors of Jannah are wide open, and the doors of Hell are closed. This is your chance to repent, recharge your Iman, and return to Allah (SWT).
